|
A Study on Current Situation and the factors Affecting Job Maintenance for the Workers with Physical Disabilities in Korea The purpose of this study is to examine the Current Situation of the workers with physical disabilities in Korea and identify the factors influencing job Maintenance. This study uses the data on the national survey on people with disabilities which was conducted in 2005. Secondary data analysis was used as methods of analysis. The subjects for the study are composed of 698 workers with physical disabilities at the age of 15 and over. The data were analyzed by using statistical techniques including descriptive analysis and optimal scaling regression. The results of study were as follows: First, the Current situation of the workers with physical disabilities was reviewed to general characteristics and working condition. Second, using logistic regression analysis, the Job maintenance was analyzed with demographic factors, disability factors, job-related factors. Among these factors, variables of sex, age, education, self-driving, ADL, type of work, monthly incomes have statistically significant effect on the job maintenance. This study will contribute to developing knowledge about the workers with physical disabilities’s characteristics and provide practical implications for intervention strategies related to promoting their job maintenance.
